Featured Ship: River Ambassador

River Ambassador is a small river ship sailing the Rhine and Main Rivers for Uniworld Cruises. Built in 1993 and refurbished in 2006, the 361 foot River Ambassador hosts 128 guests. The lavishly appointed river view staterooms have hotel-style beds draped in fine linens, a vanity, built-in closets, hair dryer, safe, individual thermostat for air conditioning and heat, direct-dial telephone, flat-screen TV with satellite, bottled water, and bathroom with L'Occitane body products, magnifying mirror, and plush bathrobes. Uniworld ships offer wi-fi service on board. Uniworld ships are staffed by a world-class, award-winning all English-speaking staff. There are two types of South America Cruises, Amazon River Cruises are 10 - 14 night cruises where a cruise ship will begin or end it's itinerary in Manaus, Brazil, near the end of the Amazon River and deep in the heart of the jungles of South America. Amazon River Cruises sail seasonally in January, February, or March. The 2nd type is a South America Explorer Cruise. These are all the other South America Cruises including routes around Cape Horn and the Strait of Magellan or itineraries that include Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. These cruises are often 12 nights or longer sailing between December and March. more
